A bit of EyeCandy

James Franco poses for the cover of Candy magazine, photographed by Terry Richardson. He still looks like a total babe, SHHHWING!If this cover is in response to rumours that Franco is gay, then im sure both him and Terry Richardson are loving adding some fuel to the fire. I LOVE it!

Stella McCartney S/S 2011

Abbey Lee with bleach blonde BLONDE hair!

"How weird are people that they take animal skins and try to make them not look like animal skins?Like, bright pink fox fur. What's wrong with a fricking orange fox? They're beautiful as they are! I don't get it. Humans are insane."
Stella McCartney is a big inspiration for me, putting her morals and ethics before superficial values. She pushes the boundaries in terms of the way she uses fabric to create beautiful clothing that is both cruelty free, and fashion forward. Surely knowing that your clothes have been designed and produced with a conscience, and respect for animals is the ultimate luxury.

Maison Martin Margiela S/S 2011

In a collection which style.com described as "flat" the team at Maison Martin Margiela created a conceptual collection of cardboard inspired pieces. Wearable it may not be, but the idea of manipulating the shape and form of clothing is quite an intriguing one to me. The Margiela team has dared to present a different and quite bizarre concept, in terms of the way we see clothing, and proportion. The points and shapes on the cardboard pieces creates the effect of clothes hanging from a rail, this is a very static quality to the collection which is then contrasted in places with draped satin skirts coming free at the hem. Even amongst these exaggerated shapes there are some stylish wearable pieces, seen in the nude, pink, and coffee coloured fitted shirts and jumpers. These more wearable pieces brought together the bold cardboard shaped pieces with the quirky styling. Style wise the hair falling down the models faces and flattened under a necklace, with sunglasses fixed to the top of sandwich board type cocktail dress was very unique and Margiela!

Giles Deacon for Ungaro

Giles Deacon's debut collection for Ungaro S/S 2011 is looking good with a bohemian style mixed with chic and stylish fabrics such as tweed, and silk for jackets and evening gowns, and embroidered detail can be seen through out the collection. Feminine stripe print tops, and blazers made this a very wearable collection perfect for S/S ! This has got to be a HUGE step up from .........

Ann Demeulmeester S/S 2011

I have been a big fan of Ann Demeulmeester's designs for a long time, probably in part due to the distinct lack of girlyness and colour. She creates powerful, bold, and contemporary clothes mostly in a monochrome or black colour palette, as seen again for this S/S 2011 collection. The use of a lot of white takes this collection into S/S, rather than the heavy use of black which can be seen in the A/W collections, white has also been seen all over the catwalks of LFW S/S 2011.
This collection is focused on monochrome layering, creating a refined silhouette with a dynamic use of abstract graphic prints seen through out the collection. In terms of styling, the use of the abstracted graphic print ties in the monochrome colour palette along to the head to toe black and white looks, they come together through the theme of the graphic monochrome print work seen in several of the looks.
There is a futuristic style in this collection, this is seen in the asymmetrical and refined silhouette of the clothes, which is enhanced in the minimalist monochrome colour scheme. The abstracted print work itself has a futuristic feel in itself, with the use of repeated line creating asymmetrical shapes.
This is a really great alternative to the usual overtly summery, and floaty looks which are typical for S/S. A good balance of structure and silhouette with light colours seen through out softened with intricate abstract graphic print work. Lets get a bit!

Search words "fat girl tries to dance"

I must have watched this at least 30 times, and showed it to about the same amount of people! When I first saw it back in Feb or something I had loads of uni work to do and although this distracted me cus I couldn't stop watching it and nearly weeing myself, it's just so effing bad it's AMAZING!

Dead funneh illustrations from Yep via Vice or something like that anyway....

"Mr London Fields"

"Streetwear nerd"

" Art collective"

I mean these are just so spot on, whether you fall into one of the stereotypes or not how can you deny that this is just funny and really obvious!? I guess what makes it funnier, well to me it does, is that most of these people think that they are pretty damn 'original' and have an 'individual style' blah blah, and its just really funny. The illustrations are awesome as well! Thanks for that Vice and Yep!http://yepwecan.co.uk/-http://www.viceland.com/uk/

(don't know why I'm even putting links because no one is even aware of this blog....Internet manners int it)

Kim K by Terry Richardson. BANGIN'

RIGHT!I have the original photoshoot from The Sunday Times Style mag, which a lovely promotions gyal gave to me out of work during LFW, it came in a dead nice Christopher Kane print BLACK bag, pretty much made it worth going to (unpaid) work that day. SO you can imagine my excitement when the magazine only had this Kim K X Terry Richardson photoshoot I had heard about inside,TIMEOFMYLIFE!

Also I was quite surprised that the article actually had sweet EFF all to do with Kim, you've got to expect some mention of the old sex tape to accompany such a sexeh photo shoot!?But no it was all about what a controversial chap Terry Richardson is, and somehow Tavi had managed to get a word in somewhere, as if we haven't seen and heard enough about her..anyway I can't scan in A3 can I, so going to make do with the pics I could find on the interweb.

I LOVE ENGLAND!

FLORRIE

I've stumbled across Florrie a few times at pics from fashion parties etc, at first I thought she was a model and im sure she could be or maybe is aswell!?She's on tour at the moment, and I can imagine her doing pretty well with her upbeat, dancey style pop music. She is also giving away all of her music for free to her fans at the moment!Nice one.
Check out her site, http://florrie.com/

Fashion East Ilustrations

LOTS of LOVE for Fashion East!
I enjoy doing illustration work but sometimes I really just CANNOT DRAW!I don't know what it is....But yeh i'm quite pleased with these for my uni project, well they'll do anyway!ha
HOWEVER it is bitter sweet looking at the Fashion East shows as I AM SO IN LOVE with practically everything that their designers, and their company produce, because I managed to miss the menswear installations at LFW because of a typo on my invite, yeh im clearly still not over it. Maybe next season eh....
I just really love that this is a non profit fashion company set up to support and nurture really innovative, and exciting new design talent, I mean some of the most exciting and successful designers that have come out of London have come from Fashion East, Richard Nicoll, Gareth Pugh,Jonathan Saunders, NOKI,Marios Schwab, Louise Goldin, Louise Gray, Michael Van Der Ham to name just a few, and im sure this seasons designers will go on to do just as well!
I could go on forever, and I think I will in another post, when i'll perv on all the pics from the Fashion East shows bahaa!
The designers that show with Fashion East get me really excited, because it is so creative and such raw talent, and it always seems SO appropriate to whats going on at the current moment with a serious finger on the pulse and beyond it!
Pretty much Lulu Kennedy and the team there are doing something VERY right!

Pierre et Gilles

These are some examples of Pierre et Gilles work. Considering im not really into alot of colour, I LOVE their stuff. There is so much energy, and humour in their work, each piece is unique and tells it's own story. What draws me to their work so much is the highly stylized quality in each photograph, and the references to pop/gay culture, and porn. There is a subtle and stylish look to even the most sexual images they create. The use of dynamic composition, vibrant colour and expression in each piece allows their photography to stand out as images which are full of life, and uncompromising in terms of subject matter, and style.

I can't stop looking at it all..... ( don't worry i've got a book full
)
